"Judge Acquits 2 Ex-Detectives in Mob Killings": The New York Times today contains this article, along with an article headlined "Shock, but Some Praise, After Legal Ruling."

The Washington Post reports today that "N.Y. Judge Overturns Ex-Officers' Convictions."

The Los Angeles Times reports that "Judge Tosses 'Mafia Cops' Convictions; He rules the statute of limitations has expired, and orders a new trial on lesser charges."

Newsday contains articles headlined "Ex-cops' convictions tossed; Judge rules that statute of limitations requires reversal of guilty verdicts for racketeering" and "Victims' families shocked at reversal."

The New York Daily News contains articles headlined "Judge rubs out mob cops verdict; Overturns convictions on time technicality"; "Glorious new day for family of ex-cop"; and "Victims' kin call ruling 'so absurd.'"

And The New York Post contains articles headlined "Judge: Killer mob cop due guilty as sin - & I have to let them walk"; "New heartbreak for victims' kin"; and "Door left wide open for appeal."

Yesterday, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that "City lawyer sues 'don't date him' Web site."

The Los Angeles Times contains articles headlined "Tribunal Ruling's Wider Impact Still Unclear; Thursday's Supreme Court decision could affect the way the U.S. treats all its detainees, even senior operatives of Al Qaeda" and "Congress Tackles the Guantanamo Challenge; Lawmakers could OK Bush's setup or create a whole new system for handling detainees."

The New York Times reports that "Warner Is Uncertain on Legislation for Tribunals."

In The Miami Herald, Carol Rosenberg reports that "Prisoner grateful to Allah and U.S. courts; Osama bin Laden's driver praised Allah upon learning that the Supreme Court had sided with him against President Bush over military trials at U.S. prisons at Guantanamo."

"Legislation is seen rising from ruling on gays giving care": The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette today contains an article that begins, "Gov. Mike Huckabee said Friday that he expects state lawmakers to consider legislation in response to Thursday's ruling by the Arkansas Supreme Court that struck down a state policy prohibiting gays from serving as foster parents."

And The Associated Press reports that "Ark. Governor Seeks Gay Foster Parent Ban."
